Куркума длинная (Curcuma longa L.) и её биологически активные вещества куркуминоиды обладают плейотропной активностью, включая и антибактериальную активность. Многочисленные исследования показали, что антибактериальная активность экстрактов куркумы и куркуминоидов обладает широким спектром биологических и фармакологических свойств в отношении различных патогенных и условно-патогенных микробов. Механизмы антибактериального действия куркумина состоят либо в прямом вмешательстве в репродукцию бактерий, либо в подавлении клеточных сигнальных путей, необходимых для их репликации. В настоящем обзоре обобщены современные данные и перспективы использования антибактериальной активности куркумина.
