Many species of spore forming bacteria (Bacillus and Clostridium) are the causes of food spoilage and other infections. These bacteria produce spores which are resistant to chemical and physical agents. Therefore, the search for new sporicidal drugs are very important. Nowadays, the sporicidal properties of plants have been considered as alternatives to chemical sporicidal agents. In the overview data on antispores effective substances from medicinal plants are summarized. These results suggested that extracts of some medicinal plants can be use as antibacterial and antispore means against bacteria and spores.
