Previous studies showed that of aerial part Alchemilla vulgaris infusion and aqueous extract have hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, and immunomodulatory activities and can be proposed for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The use of the herb of a cultivated soft cuff microspecies (Alchemilla mollis (Buuser) Rothm.) makes it possible to obtain substances with standard phytochemical and pharmacological properties. The present study is devoted to evaluating the possibility of using an infusion of the herb cuff soft as an antidiabetic agent. The study of the acute toxicity of the infusion of herb cuff herb (NMM) and the infusion of herb cuff ordinary (NMO) made it possible to classify them as low-toxic substances. The absence of the influence of NMM and NMO on carbohydrate metabolism in intact animals and the presence of antidiabetic activity (decrease in blood glucose concentration, increase in liver glycogen concentration) in rats with alloxan diabetes were revealed. NMM efficacy and safety indicators were similar to those of NMO, which allows us to offer a cultivated microspecies soft cuff as an additional raw material source for the production of herbal antidiabetic agents.
