The effect of infusion of Trifolium fragiferum L. on the functional state of the hemostasis system

Abstract

This article presents the results of a study of the effect of Trifolium fragiferrum L. infusion on the hemostasis system in comparison with reference drugs: acetylsalicylic acid, pentoxifylline, ethamzylate, heparin. Antiaggregational activity was determined in models of adenosine diphosphate and collagen induced aggregation. In the course of a comparative analysis, it was found that Trifolium fragiferrum L. is more effective than acetylsalicylic acid in inhibiting the rate of aggregation, as well as significantly increasing the latent period and the time to reach the maximum amplitude of aggregation. The pharmacological effect of Trifolium fragiferrum L. is characterized by a pronounced antiplatelet effect, which makes it a functional antagonist of ethamzylate. Anticoagulation activity was determined using generally accepted clotting tests on a turbidimetric hemocoagulometer. According to the results of the study, strawberry clover has anticoagulation potential, but is inferior to the reference drug heparin.
